Job description

Our client is a fast-growing, European-founded better-for-you beverage and functional nutrition company. Since entering the US a few years ago, they’ve built a portfolio of category-leading brands with national distribution across convenience, grocery, fitness, and e-commerce. The US is now one of their fastest-growing markets worldwide, and they’ve started developing products made specifically for American consumers.

The team is lean and hands-on. People here move quickly, care about the brands, and like being close to the numbers that drive the business.

The Opportunity

This is the analytical engine behind the US sales team. You’ll own forecasting, reporting, and planning support across retail, distributor, and online accounts, and you’ll be the person who catches a demand spike, a slipping SKU, or a forecast gap before it turns into a problem.

You’ll sit at the center of Sales, Operations, Finance, and Demand Planning. When leadership wants to know how a launch is tracking, whether a promotion paid off, or what next quarter looks like for a key account, your work is what they’ll be looking at.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the sales forecast at the account, SKU, product line, and period level, and keep it current as the business shifts
  • Dig into sales history, seasonality, customer behavior, and commercial plans to sharpen forecast accuracy over time
  • Track actuals against forecast, explain the variances, and flag where the business is exposed or where there’s upside
  • Build the dashboards, reports, and performance recaps the sales team uses to plan accounts and make calls
  • Watch ordering trends and SKU-by-customer performance closely enough to spot issues early
  • Support new item launches, seasonal resets, and promotional planning, including pre-event ROI modeling and post-event analysis
  • Work with Operations and Finance to make sure the demand plan and the supply plan actually match
  • Put together customer-facing presentations, internal commercial updates, and leadership reporting
  • Help get new customers set up, from vendor forms and EDI paperwork to W-9s and payment information
  • Look for ways to make reporting faster, cleaner, and more useful, and then build them
What You Bring
  • 3+ years in sales analytics, sales ops, demand planning, commercial planning, or a similar role
  • Real comfort turning messy data into a clear point of view and a recommendation
  • Sharp attention to detail. You notice when a number looks off and you chase it down
  • The ability to juggle several accounts, deadlines, and stakeholders at once without things slipping
  • Clear writing and presenting skills, for both analysts and people who’d rather just get the headline
  • A track record of working well across Sales, Ops, Finance, and senior leadership
  • Commercial instincts: you understand that the right answer balances what the data says, what the customer needs, and what the business is trying to do
  • Advanced Excel (pivots, complex formulas, dashboard builds) and strong PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with large datasets and building reporting tools people actually use
  • Working knowledge of retailer and distributor sales data
Nice to Have
  • Hands-on experience with a forecasting or demand planning platform
  • Background in CPG, food and beverage, retail, wholesale, or distribution
  • Experience with syndicated data (SPINS, Circana, Nielsen, or similar)
  • Exposure to promotions, launches, and account-level planning
  • Familiarity with EDI, vendor portals, and customer onboarding
