Job summary

Crystal Valley is seeking motivated Agronomy Sales Interns for the summer months (May to August) at our Agronomy locations in Minnesota. The internship provides mentorship, real-world experience, and exposure to agronomy sales products and services.

Interns will support crop scouting, pest identification, and agronomic recommendations, while learning software tools and inventory processes. This paid internship emphasizes customer service and field-based learning.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture field.
• Agricultural or Ag retail background.
• Desire to serve farmers, agribusinesses and others in the agriculture industry.
• Willingness to work long hours (weekends and holidays included).
• Basic equipment operation skills.
• Must get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform (GWC).

Responsibilities

• Learn from Crystal Valley’s Experienced Staff.
• Work alongside Agronomy Sales to crop scout, identify crop pests and create agronomic recommendations.
• Learn and utilize Agronomy and Precision Ag Software.
• Provide First Class Customer Service by engaging with customers and delivering value.
• Assist with in-season operations including seed duties, delivery, sorting, and product returns.
• Assist with inventory management and warehouse procedures.
• Engage in field experiences such as soil sampling, plant tissue sampling, and nutrient testing.
• Assist in aerial application business and agronomy plant operations.
• Learn proper facilities maintenance and equipment operations and use integrated pest management best practices.
