Job summary

Crystal Valley is offering an Agronomy Operations Internship in Jackson, MN for the summer May–August. Interns will work alongside operations staff to safely deliver and distribute agronomy products and gain hands-on experience across equipment, maintenance, and field services.

You are currently pursuing an agriculture-related degree and may have prior internship experience. The program emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and real-world learning through mentorship, training, and networking

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Ag Business, Ag Service Technician, or agriculture-related field.
• Prior internship in agriculture is desirable.
• Willingness to work long hours including weekends/holidays.
• Interest in serving farmers and agribusinesses.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery and distribution of agronomy products alongside staff.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and equipment troubleshooting.
• Assist with seed duties, inventory management, and warehouse procedures.
• Support housekeeping and maintenance of facilities and grounds.

We are seeking highly motivated Agronomy Operations Interns at each of our Madelia, MN, Janesville, MN and Jackson, MN locations for the summer months of May to August. Our internship experience will offer valuable insight into the Agronomy Operations profession through mentorship and real-world experiences.

Five Key Roles:

• Exposure to the features and benefits of all Crystal Valley agronomy products and services
• Work alongside agronomy operations staff to safely deliver and distribute agronomy products
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections to eliminate equipment downtime
• Perform diagnostic, troubleshooting, and electrical work on various types of equipment
• Assist with housekeeping and maintenance of facilities, roadways and rolling stock

Provide First Class Customer Service

• Assist with in-season operations including seed duties, delivery, sorting, and product returns
• Assist with inventory management and warehouse procedures

Engage in Real Life Work Experiences

• Shadow custom applicators while performing
• Assist with aerial application business
• Assist with agronomy plant operations including but not limited to tender driving, soil sampling and in-the-field service calls

Attend Internship Networking/Development Opportunities

• Attend training, professional development and continuing education opportunities
• Sharpen your professional development/soft skills

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Ag Business, Ag Service Technician, or other Agriculture related degree program
• Agricultural or Ag retail background
• Previous internship experience desired
• Desire to serve farmers, agribusinesses and others involved in the agriculture industry
• Willingness towork long hours (weekends and holidays included)
• Advanced equipment operation skills
• Must get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform (GWC)
