Sales Agronomist III-Northeast and North Central Nebraska

Overview

We are hiring multiple Sales Agronomists in Northeast and North Central Nebraska. Please specify your preferred region in your application. The Sales Agronomist (SA) serves as a local expert on Bayer Crop Science products, advising growers to ensure in-season success. Responsibilities include building relationships, providing agronomic advice, and supporting Bayer's market growth from planning to harvest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive business plans with Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) for assigned regions, targeting 100 high-growth growers.
  • Build relationships with key growers, offering agronomic insights, product recommendations, and support.
  • Lead demand generation plans and support team goals.
  • Provide agronomic advice on farm management, crop planning, and product placement.
  • Drive Bayer portfolio trials with targeted growers.
  • Support seasonal activities like crop planning, scouting, and harvest monitoring.
  • Collaborate with team members to align on business strategies and understand growers' objectives.
  • Address performance issues and key grower needs during the season.
  • Recommend innovative strategies to leadership.
  • Monitor grower accounts and identify new opportunities throughout the year.
  • Manage an annual SG&A budget and related expenditures.
  • Travel approximately 60%, engaging face-to-face with customers.
Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and safe hauling practices, possibly under DOT/FMCSA regulations.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in agronomy, technology, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience working with remote sales teams.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges from approximately $89,600 to $134,400, with potential bonuses or commissions. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement plans, PTO, and sick leave. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and other factors.
