The Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) is the largest organization in the world solely focused on accelerating the deployment of fiber optics broadband communications. The FBA provides advocacy, education, and resources to companies, organizations, and communities who want to deploy the best networks through fiber to the home, fiber to the business and fiber everywhere. FBA members represent the entire broadband ecosystem: service providers, suppliers, consultants, consumers, policymakers, high-tech companies, and application providers.

DESCRIPTION:

While our advocacy is DC-based, our employees can work from anywhere they can be the most productive. The FBA professional staff is currently a small team, but we have many contributors from our 650+ member companies in North America and over 100 companies in Latin America. The Fiber Broadband Association is seeking qualified applications for our Sales Administrator position. We are looking for a self-starting, detail-oriented, and dynamic team member who is poised and professional with sound judgment. The position will report to and support the Sales Director. This is a new, fully remote position ideal for a reliable and detail-oriented professional who excels at administrative support, process creation, and follow-through. While sales experience is not necessarily required, this individual will play a critical behind-the-scenes role in helping our sales team stay organized, efficient, and successful.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • The Sales Administrator will handle the administrative workflow associated with sales, including lead tracking, generating and updating prospectuses, invoicing support, accounts payable follow up, and managing client follow-up. This individual will be expected to bring structure and efficiency to the sales support process.
  • Create and maintain sales prospectuses and marketing materials for sponsorships, exhibits, and advertising opportunities
  • Track and follow up on leads, manage outreach timelines, and assist with scheduling sales-related meetings
  • Generate and manage sales documentation including proposals, contracts, and invoices
  • Coordinate with the finance team to chase accounts payable and monitor payment status
  • Maintain organized records of sales activities, lead status, and account history
  • Support CRM data entry and reporting
  • Ensure sales processes are followed and continuously refined for efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, finance, membership) to support seamless sales fulfillment
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the sales team, ensuring timely and proactive communication with prospects and clients

  • Knowledge of telecommunications/fiber broadband industry is a plus.
