Role and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies for Fire & Security systems and services, prospecting, and developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Develop new and maintain existing end user relationships specifically for the Security Division in the Greenville and Upstate areas.
- Maintain active customer relationships through direct customer visits, calls, and communication.
- Drive our Security Service to Sales initiative by selling service/monitoring contracts to new and existing customers.
- Use account management and customer relationships to drive security sales directly to the end user.
- Identify and develop security sales opportunities directly with end users.
- Work with the estimating department to generate estimates and convert them into proposals.
- Present proposals to customers and end users for approval.
- Track proposal status in CRM software.
- Upon approval, coordinate with Service Administration to set up work and schedule completion.
- Engage with parts suppliers to obtain quotes for security parts.
- Collaborate with end users on capital budgets, technology migration pathways, and technology refresh plans.
- Coordinate with operations/installation/service departments to manage customer expectations regarding delivery and installation timelines.
- Work with the accounting department to ensure timely billing and payment objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate with service/installation departments to identify opportunities arising from completed work.
- Aim to develop and achieve sales goals and manage the sales funnel with direct supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associates Degree or combination of work experience and education will be considered.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Cold calling, customer service, inside/outside sales account management, and field sales support experience required.
- Detail oriented and self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to coordinate sales order requirements with internal and external customers.
- Strong work ethic and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Must successfully pass a background check and obtain or maintain a Security License for the state of NC.
- Two years of CRM experience (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the construction and/or security industries.
- Sales support experience is preferred.
- Two years of CRM experience (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
