Sales Director - Downdetector Vertical Hunter

Expectations for Success

  • Hunter Role: Extensive experience in identifying, qualifying, and closing new customers within the Enterprise Vertical.
  • Responsible for sales activities with new prospects.
  • Act as the client’s primary contact for onboarding new products and services.
  • Demonstrate product offerings and value propositions via web or in-person meetings.
  • Develop and grow relationships across your customer’s business and technical teams.
  • Educate and support clients to ensure optimal utilization of our product suite.
  • Provide sales support to a customer base comprising seasoned technical staff, engineers, marketing, legal, and procurement personnel.
  • Engage with Directors and Senior executives to support their business needs.
  • Partner with technical account management and sales teams to review account health and identify growth opportunities.
  • Advocate for customer requirements within Ookla, representing their voice internally.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of new technologies to support customer growth.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with extensive experience in Enterprise verticals such as Finance/Banking, Gaming, Large Enterprise, or other non-telco sectors.
  • Strong background in IT/Service Observability, SOC/NOC, or related fields.
  • Experience with MEDDPICC or consultative/solution selling preferred.
  • At least 5 years of B2B Sales/Business Development experience in the IT industry.
  • Ability to travel domestically for client engagements and conferences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strategic account planning and execution skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Responsible, efficient, and able to work independently.
  • Experience negotiating sales contracts with a consultative approach.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
