Established in 1990, Goosetown Communications is one of the largest mobile voice & wireless enterprise communications companies in the Northeast and United States. Headquartered in Congers, NY with offices in Bloomfield, CT, and Guilford, CT., we provide field communications and services to many of the public safety and commercial users in these areas. These include but are not limited to Police, Fire, County, School Districts, School Buses, and Transportation companies.
Job Summary
We are seeking a sales representative to interface with current customers and new prospects through telephone and in-office face-to-face meetings to sell products and services in the NY & NJ area.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for regular call frequency with assigned customers to maintain customer relationships and increase sales.
- Manage all expiring lease agreements.
- Manage all expiring maintenance agreements.
- Contact with customers targeted by email initiatives.
- Provide support to outside sales personnel, when necessary.
- Assist with inbound phone orders from new and existing customers.
- Create quotes working with a technician.
- Update our CRM (HubSpot) daily.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work our regular business hours (8 am to 5 pm) and occasionally before or after hours for trade shows and other job-related tasks.
- Primarily located in our office in Congers, NY
Required Skills And Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Basic Computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- CRM experience preferred.
- Public Safety experience.
Skills
- 1 to 3 years of proven inside sales experience in wireless communications experience with wireless companies or business-to-business sales experience.
- The ability to work independently and as an active member of a team and meet goals under deadlines is essential.
- Proven background providing excellent customer service.
- Strong multitasking, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent organizational skills and initiative are preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as solid follow-up skills.
- Ability to follow a detailed process.
- Persuasive and goal-oriented
- Self-motivated and directed.
- Energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
- Comfortable calling customers on the telephone and talking to new people.
- Ability to ask the right questions and extract information in conversation.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and nurture relationships with customers.
