Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training.
• Knowledge of salad bar ingredients and prep procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and scale quantities.
• Basic math for recipe doubling/halving.
• Knife skills and proper cutting techniques.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
• Excellent organization and planning.
• Strong verbal and listening communication.
• Ability to handle conflict professionally.

Responsibilities

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures.
• Ensures quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides.
• Maintains appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the salad bar.
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, especially ad items.
• Ensures kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily.
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers.
• Prepares salad bar items; greens, walnuts, croutons, beets, bacon, etc.
• Packages to-go soups, salads, and sandwiches.
• Setup and takedown of salad bar and soup bar.
• Responsible for inventory and ordering for the salad bar.
• Receiving and stocking of product.
• Teaches and mentors associates; provides feedback on performance.
• Supports kitchen and team success.
