Job summary

Harmons Grocery in Utah is seeking a Salad Bar Associate to maintain quality and product levels, prepare salad bar items, and assist with to-go salads and sandwiches. Responsibilities

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures.
• Ensures quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides.
• Maintains appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the salad bar.
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, especially ad items.
• Ensures kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily.
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers.
• Prepares salad bar items; greens, walnuts, croutons, beets, bacon, etc.
• Packages to-go soups, salads, and sandwiches.
• Setup and takedown of salad bar and soup bar.
• Responsible for inventory and ordering for the salad bar.
• Receiving and stocking of product.
• Teaches and mentors associates; provides feedback on performance.
• Supports kitchen and team success.

WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS REQUIRED

$18.89 - $21.47 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to maintain quality standards and product levels of all products on the salad bar. This person will be preparing items for the salad bar, mixing salad dressings, setting up and taking down the salad bar and soup bar, preparing to-go salads, sandwiches, and dips, training new salad bar associates, determining production and inventory levels, receiving and stocking product, and providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the salad bar
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
• Ensures the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Prepares items for the salad bar; greens, walnuts, croutons, beets, bacon, etc.
• Packaging to-go soups, salads, and sandwiches
• Setup and/or takedown of salad bar and soup bar
• Responsible for inventory and ordering for the salad bar
• Receiving and stocking of product
• Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
• Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the kitchen as a whole
