Job summary

ACGBBQ, LLC., a licensed franchisee of Sonny’s BBQ, is hiring for a back-of-house team member. You’ll prepare items for the salad bar, assist with cooking, and keep coolers clean and stocked.

The role involves standing for long periods in a fast-paced restaurant environment and requires the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining safety and quality. You’ll join a team that values reliability, offers family-friendly hours, and opportunities for long-term growth within the Sonny’s BBQ

Qualifications

• Related experience and/or training in the restaurant industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to push, pull, lift and move up to 20 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with cleaning chemicals and wet/humid conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for salad bar as per food preparation guidelines.
• Prepare food items such as corn bread.
• Maintain the cooler in clean condition and restock as needed.
• Use a blade chopper for food preparation and operate kitchen equipment.
• Complete assigned cleaning duties including mopping and general upkeep.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

General Purpose

Essential Duties (may include, but not limited to)

• Prepare items for salad bar as per food preparation guidelines
• Prepare food items such as corn bread
• Maintain the cooler in clean condition and restocks it as needed
• Use a blade chopper for food preparation
• Use kitchen equipment
• Complete assigned cleaning duties to include mopping of general area
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned

• Constant ability to push, pull, lift, carry and or move up to 20 pounds.
• Team Members will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and required to work with cleaning chemicals. Frequent washing of the hands is required for all positions.

• Sonny’s is a fast-paced environment and requires constant interaction and movement.

• As a BOH Team Member, you must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job for up to an 8-hour shift.
