A leading luxury brand is seeking a Women’s Leather Goods Senior Buyer in New York. This role involves strategic buying, market analysis, and collaboration with global partners. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in luxury retail and a passion for the brand.
Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent. Under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, the house continues to be a leader in the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent’s collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties, and eyewear.
We are currently seeking a Women’s Leather Goods Senior Buyer to join our dynamic team in New York.
You will serve as an ambassador and business owner in the Women’s Leather Goods sector, inspiring teams and clients. Your responsibilities include developing and executing strategic initiatives, curating assortments, analyzing sales results, and identifying risks and opportunities. You will maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and customer profiles through partnerships with store leaders and market analyses. Additionally, you will foster strong relationships with our partners in Paris.
Estimated base salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 with bonus eligibility.
