Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for overseeing the cabin units. Cabin Counselors will live in the cabins with the campers and exercise good judgment and competence in implementing policies and standards, which will result in increased public regard toward the Y.
  2. Assist with check-in and check-out of campers.
  3. Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of Camp Lakewood grounds and facilities, paying special attention to cabin areas both inside and out.
  4. Assist campers in setting up cabins and bunks.
  5. Responsible for selecting and communicating lost camper and cabin meeting spots.
  6. Assist in coordinating programs including clinics, swim tests, campfire activities, meals, and all other programs.
  7. Ensure timely arrival and departure to and from all scheduled activities.
  8. Ensure safety in all programs and report all incidents promptly.
  9. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
