Job summary

Ampcus, Inc. is seeking a senior MLOps Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate an enterprise ML platform on AWS SageMaker Unified Studio.

You will drive domain configuration, project provisioning, and multi-environment promotion workflows while ensuring secure access and scalable model serving. The role focuses on building end-to-end MLOps pipelines, model registry management, drift monitoring, and robust platform observability.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years software engineering experience focused on cloud infrastructure or ML platform operations.
• 5+ years hands-on with AWS and Amazon SageMaker (Studio/ Pipelines/ Model Registry/ Endpoints/ Feature Store).
• 3+ years building and operating production MLOps pipelines including training, versioning and deployment.
• Experience with SageMaker Unified Studio or Studio Classic.
• Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation.
• IAM design for ML platforms with cross‑account access and SSO/SAML.
• Experience with MLflow or equivalent experiment tracking.
• Knowledge of SageMaker Pipelines or similar workflow orchestration (Airflow/ Step Functions).
• Model serving in real-time and batch modes; monitoring and security best practices.
• Snowflake data sources and Kubernetes orchestration (EKS).

Responsibilities

• Set up SageMaker Unified Studio platform including domain and multi-environment workflows.
• Build MLOps pipelines from data extraction to model registration and evaluation.
• Manage SageMaker Model Registry with cross‑account promotion and lineage.
• Configure MLflow for tracking parameters, metrics, and artifacts.
• Implement IAM, SSO, SailPoint entitlements and execution/service roles.
• Develop real-time endpoints and batch prediction workflows for models.
• Set up model monitoring for drift and performance degradation.
• Configure data catalog with lineage and access workflows.
• Own platform operations including observability (CloudWatch, Datadog) and logging.
