Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking an experienced MLOps Platform Engineer to design and operate a cloud-based ML platform on AWS SageMaker. The role focuses on unifying a fragmented toolchain into a governed, scalable environment across multiple dev/prod environments.

You will implement SageMaker Pipelines, model registry, endpoints, and monitoring, while ensuring secure IAM and cross‑account access. This is an onsite Plano, TX contract role with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of software engineering experience focused on cloud infrastructure or ML platform operations.
• 5+ years hands-on with AWS, including deep SageMaker expertise (Studio Classic/Unified) and Pipelines.
• 3+ years building and operating production MLOps pipelines (training, versioning, deployment, monitoring).
• Experience with SageMaker Unified Studio or Studio Classic domain/project setup and multi-tenant configuration.
• Experience with MLflow or equivalent experiment tracking.
• IaC with Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
• IAM design for ML platforms – execution roles, service roles, cross-account access, SSO/SAML.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operationalize an enterprise ML platform on AWS SageMaker Unified Studio.
• Migrate to a unified, governed platform on AWS Landing Zone 2.
• Develop MLOps pipelines covering data, training, evaluation, and model registration.
• Configure SageMaker Studio domains, projects, and multi-environment promotion workflows.
• Set up identity and access management and model serving endpoints.
• Establish model monitoring, data drift detection, and lineage tracking.
• Maintain platform observability and security across the stack.
