Job summary

Transdev North America in Statesboro, GA is seeking a Safety/Service Worker to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policy. We emphasize safety, operation and maintenance support with a customer-service mindset.

You will deliver CDL training, manage safety programs, and drive risk assessments to minimize liability while supporting overall service quality.

Qualifications

• 2 years related work experience in the passenger transportation industry.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Experience in location safety management and/or operations management.
• Providing quality CDL training, including the creation and management of training materials.
• CDL required.
• Application of knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, rules and ordinances, including accessibility legislation, environmental protection and worker health and safety.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate training programs; develop and present training materials.
• Monitor and conduct CDL training for non-CDL applicants assisting in helping them obtain their CDL by managing the program effectiveness.
• Perform risk management and safety functions; ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environment rules.
• Identify health and safety risks and recommend corrective actions to control and limit liability.
• May inspect buildings and vehicles; prepare billings for repairs and loss of revenue due to vehicle accidents.
• Assist with collecting data and analyze accident or incident trends; investigate claims.
• Assist with quality assurance inspections and training records.
• Establish relationships with client and corporate personnel to identify training needs, resources, and opportunities.
• Prepare and conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Maintain an adequate and complete employee filing system and participate in audits and inspections to meet client and corporate expectations.
• Oversee location SSTM program to reduce the number of workplace injuries.
• Conduct road observations to evaluate operator safety, customer service, and knowledge.
• Assist maintenance with fleet cleanliness and supplies.
• Travel outside of immediate area as required.
• Other duties as required.
