Key Responsibilities
Hours of Service

- Assist drivers with logbooks, editing & training
- Identify the correct violation/driver and document violation
- Contact driver and discuss violations details/reprimand/coaching
- Complete/scan documents to driver’s file
Logbook Auditing
- Identify the log edit/change requested/required
- Ensuring compliance within HOS regulations assess if/how edit can be completed.
Road Evaluations
- Review application, CVOR, Abstract
- Start Driver File
- Print Road test
- Meet with Applicant and review work history
- Conduct road test following designated route
- Complete road test documentation, ensure documents signed by applicant
- Total Road Test Score
- Scan Road Test to Recruiting
- Provide Driver File to processor
Orientation
- Preparation for orientation Classroom, Carriers Edge, TM, HR, Operations, Unit
- Organize/inform all parties booked for orientation – agenda, materials required
- Provide materials required for candidates who may be ill prepared
- Present orientation package ensuring all parties comprehend content
- Answer all questions and/or find answers to questions where answer not known
- Ensure all onboarding documents are completed, signed, scanned, and approved
- Provide additional training to any candidate requiring further assistance
- Training in person CNG, pup, sliding axles, DEF, inspections
- Complete all post orientation processes fuel card, ELD login, TM introduction, facility tour, tractor introduction, TDG card signed/laminated
- Provide positive learning environment for all candidates
- Identify/develop orientation strengths/weaknesses and provide solutions for issues
Day 1
- Document completion
- Carriers Edge set up and instructions
Day 2
- Document completion
- Carriers Edge support and follow up
Day 3
- Document completion – Test, contract, orientation confirmation
Driver Training – CFTR/ATE
- Meet with trainers and trainee providing expectations
- Collect training evaluation from trainers once training period completed
- Meet with driver trainers after each training session to review feedback on trainee
- Scan, index, and file training documentation weekly
- Plan and schedule quarterly driver trainer meetings
- Contacting driver involved in incident
- Gathering accident information and details
- Complete/send accident email information
- Conduct accident review and complete preventable/non-preventable document
- Complete and issue driver/Broker reprimand if applicable
- Accident spreadsheet updated as accident documentation updated
Driver Compliance
- HOS compliance tracking/reporting
- Ticket tracking/reporting
- Identify/provide solutions to issues/non-compliance
- Working/coaching C.A.T. drivers in yard/building with rules/regulations/compliance
Driver Training
- Conduct training with drivers as required – post-accident, inspections, ELD
- Identify drivers requiring further training & conduct training as identified
- Build/develop training solutions for items identified as issues
- Understand & complete training drivers may be required to complete
- Consistently develop topics and techniques for orientation
- Confirm driver’s login information
- Complete ISAAC ELD instruction with applicant
- Review with driver comprehension and understanding of ISAAC function
Requirements
- Valid class 1 driver’s license
- French Language
