Job summary

Zen-Noh Grain Corporation seeks a Safety Coach to drive safe operations by coaching line staff on the use of safety systems across multiple locations. The role involves field coaching, preparing reports, and facilitating trainings to elevate safety culture and performance.

Responsibilities include conducting site visits, auditing practices, leading pre-shift meetings, and coordinating with safety teams. A Safety degree and active certifications are preferred; travel up to 85% is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety or equivalent education and training (Required). Preferred: Degree in Safety.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company auto insurance requirements.
• Preferred: ASP or GSP certification, or working toward one of these certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve the knowledge and skill of the line organization and improve safety systems to positively impact achieving Safe Operation; implement approved recommendations.
• Assist with monthly trainings, ensuring a different location monthly.
• Communicate frequently with Facility Managers and Group Managers, working in the field, conducting observations and coaching of management.
• Report progress or issues to applicable parties (e.g., General Manager, Safety Manager, etc.).
• Attend pre‑shift meetings and meet with management and hourly personnel during site visits.
• Conduct site visits/audits and create site visit reports using a detailed checklist to evaluate and measure leading indicators with safety staff.
• Visit medical facilities with the facility manager as needed.
• Attend operation planning/training sessions; research, recommend, and present on safety-related impacts.
• Conduct or assist with new employee orientation and other training at location.
• Follow up on accidents, injuries, near misses, and incidents to verify completion, root‑cause identification, and corrective action implementation.
