Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of safety experience preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing, construction, or industrial experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Good communication and ability to interact with employees at all levels.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email).

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document routine plant safety inspections to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, and regulatory gaps.
• Assist in incident investigations and documentation for root cause determination.
• Support OSHA compliance activities and maintain SDS and safety records.
• Assist with safety training, orientation, and toolbox talks.
• Assist in maintaining safety files, training records, and inspection logs.
• Inspect PPE and safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and eye wash stations.
• Participate in safety committee meetings.
