Moss is seeking an entry-level Safety Technician I to support the Environmental, Health and Safety team on Moss Solar projects. The role emphasizes learning Moss safety standards, documentation, and field support while developing foundational safety skills.
Travel up to 100% is required as projects span multiple states; no prior experience is required, with OSHA 30 completion within 6 months and ongoing safety training provided.

The Safety Technician I is an entry-level, learning role designed as a steppingstone into the Safety Technician career path. This role supports the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team with basic safety program tasks and documentation while learning Moss Solar’s safety standards, systems, and expectations. Safety Technician I roles are intended primarily for hourly/salary workers converting into full-time positions. There are no prior experience, education, or certification requirements; the focus is on learning, developing foundational safety skills, and demonstrating Moss values in the field.
No prior safety experience required.
No formal education or degree requirements.
Prior craft/field experience in construction or solar (any trade) is welcomed but not required.
This role is specifically designed as a development path for hourly/salary workers seeking to convert to a full-time safety career.
No certifications required at time of hire.
Must achieve the OSHA 30 within 6 months of hire.
Willingness to complete Moss-required safety training and work toward future safety credentials is expected.
Valid Driver’s License with a driving record that meets Moss standards (required to drive company vehicles if/when assigned).

SOLAR SAFETY MANAGER
This position requires frequent physical activity in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to handle loads exceeding that amount with assistance. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise levels, and extreme temperatures.
