Job summary

Tindall Corporation, a leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer in the United States, is seeking an entry-level candidate for Safety-related responsibilities. You will conduct safety inspections, assist in maintaining compliance with regulations like OSHA, and support training initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and basic knowledge of workplace safety principles. This role offers a dynamic work environment split between office and plant settings with comprehensive safety benefits.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level position: 1–2 years safety experience preferred but not required.
  • Manufacturing, construction, or industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document routine plant safety inspections.
  • Support environmental compliance activities.
  • Assist with mobile equipment safety monitoring.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document routine plant safety inspections of production areas, yard operations, maintenance shops, and mobile equipment to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, and regulatory compliance gaps.
  • Bring findings to plant leadership and support environmental compliance activities as assigned.
  • Assist with mobile equipment safety monitoring (forklifts, cranes, loaders, yard trucks).
  • Assist in investigation of workplace incidents, near misses, property damage, and injuries to gather facts, conduct interviews, and document findings for root‑cause determination and preventive actions.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable safety regulations including OSHA standards, maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety records.
  • Assist with new employee safety orientation, training, and toolbox talks; reinforce safe work practices and proper PPE usage on the production floor.
  • Assist in maintaining safety files, training records, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Inspect safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, emergency equipment, and fall protection equipment.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and safety programs and initiatives.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk throughout the plant and yard frequently.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and access elevated work areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, high‑visibility vest, steel‑toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves.
Work Environment

The role alternates between office and plant/field settings, with roughly 50% of the time spent in an office environment and 50% in plant or field environments that expose the employee to noise, dust, heat, cold, oil, fumes, and other elements.
