Job summary

JCB North America is seeking a Safety professional to create a safe working environment at our Von Ormy site in Texas. You will develop and implement effective safety programs, conduct training to minimize incidents, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include monitoring safety metrics, leading drills, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous safety improvements in a high-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years safety experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, regulatory compliance and abatement.
• Strong communication (verbal and written).
• Proficient with MS Office 365, safety software, and related tools.
• Must pass drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests as required.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

• Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics
• Promote a safe work culture within a high-paced manufacturing environment
• Coordinate emergency response plans and safety drills
• Maintain safety documentation and reports
• Investigate incident and accidents and assist in creating countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence
• Provide safety training and certifications to team members
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years safety experience in manufacturing or construction setting
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, regulatory compliance and abatement
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, safety management software and tools
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field
• Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician, CSHO (Certified Safety and Health Official)
• Bilingual English/ Spanish is preferred.
• First Aid/CPR trainer certification is a plus.
