Job summary

WGNSTAR seeks a Safety Compliance Associate to join our Chandler, AZ facility, supporting cleanroom operations in a semiconductor environment. You will perform safety observations, document findings, and assist with incident prevention while adhering to SOPs.

The role requires OSHA 30, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work nights on a rotating schedule. We offer full benefits and a safety-focused culture that values initiative and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 required.
• Experience in a safety role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in equipment installation or preventative maintenance.
• Ability to read documents and understand safety equipment.
• Understanding of EH&S principles & processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate to advance work practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• High School Diploma / GED.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safety observations with active correction.
• Document findings and coordinate with the team to resolve.
• Document and turn in observation sheets to the team lead.
• Giving facility tours to new employees focusing on exit locations, safety showers/eyewash stations, etc.
• Mapping out locations for future tools.
• Adhere to strict facility SOPs with a focus on safety, quality, and effective team communication.
• Work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment while wearing a cleanroom suit or PPE.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Effort/Activities

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able tobend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
