Job summary

Hyundai Engineering America is seeking a safety-conscious and proactive Safety Supervisor to join our project. You will develop and implement safety policies, lead training programs, and investigate incidents to recommend corrective actions, ensuring compliance for the construction environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field, 3–5 years in construction safety, and OSHA certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related area.
  • 3–5 years of experience in construction safety management roles.
  • OSHA 30 - Hour Construction Occupational Safety and Health certification or equivalent.
  • OSHA 510 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry certification or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the construction industry.
  • Good understanding of Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety training and development programs for construction personnel.

Job Summary

We are seeking a safety-conscious and proactive Safety Supervisor to join our project. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and protocols, leading safety training programs, investigate incidents and accidents, and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance for safety environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and protocols to ensure compliance for safety environment
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards at the construction site
  • Lead safety training and development programs for construction personnel
  • Investigate incidents and accidents and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations specifically tailored to construction site
  • Review and maintain compliance with government regulations and ordinances
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related area
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction safety management roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • OSHA 30 - Hour Construction Occupational Safety and Health certification or equivalent
  • OSHA 510 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry certification or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the construction industry
  • Good understanding of Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements
  • Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) communication skills
  • OSHA 500 - Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry or equivalent
Additional Information
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Weekend work may be required depending on the project schedule
