Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Safety Superintendent to lead safety programs on commercial and industrial construction projects in Charleston, SC. You will ensure regulatory compliance, develop site safety plans, conduct inspections, and drive continuous safety improvements.

Responsibilities include leading on-site safety teams, audits, incident investigations, toolbox talks, and coordination with project teams to integrate safety into planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience serving as a Safety Superintendent on commercial and/or industrial construction projects.
• 4+ years of progressive safety experience in construction, electrical, or industrial environments.
• OSHA regulations, NEC knowledge; OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• OSHA 500 instructor certification is a plus.
• Root Cause Analysis and incident investigation experience.

• Serve as the on-site Safety Superintendent for construction and industrial projects.
• Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans, policies, and OSHA/NEC compliance.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and implement preventive measures.
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training programs.
• Partner with project teams, subcontractors, and EHS leadership to integrate safety into project planning.
• Manage risk assessments, incident documentation, and corrective action tracking.
• Mentor and supervise on-site safety staff.
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
• Maintain required certifications, training records, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in pre-construction planning and safety reviews.
• Oversee electrical safety and lockout/tagout compliance.
• Prepare and report safety metrics to leadership and stakeholders.

Salary: $85,000 - $130,000 (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Superintendent to lead and manage safety programs on commercial and industrial construction projects. The Safety Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, developing and implementing site-specific safety plans, conducting inspections and safety meetings, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.
