Job description

  • Will travel to assigned site on a rotation- 10 onsite / 4 home

Will be responsible for the on-site execution of construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and to quality standards. This role plays a key part in translating project schedules and milestones into actionable field plans while coordinating daily jobsite activities with trade partners and internal teams.

The Superintendent leads field operations, supports effective communication among stakeholders, and contributes to successful project delivery through strong organization, proactive problem-solving, and hands-on leadership. This position also supports the development of field staff and promotes a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day jobsite operations, including safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, and coordination with trade partners.
  • Develop, review, and adapt project schedules and milestones into workable field plans, including maintaining detailed 3-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Coordinate on-site activities to ensure alignment with project scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Lead weekly trade partner meetings, start-up/preconstruction meetings, and safety meetings.
  • Hold trade partners accountable to project requirements related to safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Track and manage material deliveries and long-lead items to support uninterrupted project progress.
  • Oversee safety planning and execution, including orientations, JSAs, PPE verification, and safety observations.
  • Ensure quality execution through verification of materials, layout accuracy, and proper installation methods.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and field coordination items, ensuring timely documentation and communication.
  • Communicate project updates, schedule changes, and progress to owners and project leadership.
  • Utilize field management tools to maintain daily reports, meeting minutes, photos, sketches, and site documentation.
  • Mentor and support interns, Field Engineers, and Assistant Superintendents.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, inspectors, trade partners, and internal project teams.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and professional jobsite standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 12 months of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or equivalent.
  • Experience on at least four significant construction projects.
  • Managed at least one project or major scope as an Assistant Superintendent.
  • Led at least six project meetings and participated in at least 25.
  • Experience with project start-up (PEP) meetings and TCO/CO turnover processes.
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Training & Certifications
  • OSHA training including one module beyond OSHA 30.
  • One AGC-related professional course (4+ hours).
  • Four hours of additional professional training approved by leadership.
