Key Performance Metrics include:

• Managing store safety incidents in Sphera, including (1) Reporting on training incidents, communicating cross-functionally and collaborating on plans to reduce incidents, (2) Document and communicate safety training completion by all R&R team members through coordination with District Managers
• Maintains education, understanding, and implementation of health, safety, and security requirements regarding R&R store operations and teams
• Directly reports to the R&R division, with priority to the store team members and managers, and will have a high level of collaboration and accountability with the Ghirardelli Health, Safety, & Environmental, and HR divisions

Scope of Responsibilities

• Manages incidents in Sphera, including documentation, action plans, and following up/closing tickets
• Sphera Training and Coaching – review with Managers and provide guidance
• Workplace Violence plan updates – maintain plans by location
• Workplace Violence logs, security measures, and procedural documentation
• Quarterly Safety Meetings – research, create, and validate completion
• Safety Reporting – manage and update regularly to key stakeholders
• Security – physical systems, in-store management review and procedures
• Physical Safety Standards – procedural communication
• Health Safety Standards – procedural communication
• Food Safety Standards – procedural communication, as needed
• Responsible for organizing the training, communication, and investigations related to Sphera, Ghirardelli’s safety and incident software
• Responsible for coordinating with Ghirardelli Safety, Admin, and HR teams to plan the execution of projects, procedures, and communications related to the R&R store business regarding Health, Safety, and Security
• Assists with training and communication planning and implementation for R&R store operations related to Health, Safety & Security
• Tracks training completion

Specific Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum two (2) years of Project Coordination experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Smart Sheets, or other project management software
• One to three (1-3) years of prior experience coordinating safety programs across multiple locations or regions, ensuring safety practices and compliance consistency
• Analyzing reports for learnings
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is a plus
• One to three (1-3) years of safety experience, focusing on retail and restaurant environments is a plus

Other Job Requirements

• Ability to move around office settings and job sites, including walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs or ladders
• Capability to travel up to 30% of the time, which may include driving or flying to different locations
• Occasionally lift and carry safety equipment or materials up to 25-30 pounds
• Ability to use computers, perform inspections, operate safety equipment, and precisely handle documents and tools
• Adequate vision and hearing to conduct safety inspections, read reports, and communicate effectively in various environments

Salary: $66,847 - $83,585 / year
