Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Safety Specialist to design, improve, and maintain safety systems across manufacturing and office environments in Indianapolis.

You will lead safety projects, implement PDCA cycles to reduce hazards, collaborate with leaders and safety committees, and interpret policies, conduct risk assessments and ergonomic studies, while documenting activities and presenting findings to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or safety, or equivalent experience.
• 0–4 years of safety experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and planning tools.
• Ability to work in manufacturing and office environments with overtime and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety improvement projects and support departmental safety initiatives.
• Implement PDCA cycles to reduce hazards and injuries.
• Collaborate with leaders and safety committees to foster safety excellence.
• Interpret and apply safety policies, conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and document safety activities.
• Analyze safety data, prepare reports, and present findings to support decision-making.
• Develop technical expertise and stay current with safety regulations and best practices.
