Job summary

Knobelsdorff Enterprises in Minnesota is seeking a Safety/Occupational Health student to join our team on varied field projects. You’ll help implement safety policies, conduct audits, and support on-site teams to maintain compliance.

This role requires pursuing a degree in OH&S or related field, First Aid/CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain it, and ability to travel to job sites. We value hands-on learners who own their work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing Knobelsdorff’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Help in safety education and training for on-site teams.
  • Audit project-level safety documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct job site safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Attend tailgate meetings to review hazards and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain safety documentation, including reports and statistics.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal, State, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.

Job Description

You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Work alongside your team on implementing Knobelsdorff’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in safety education and training to on-site teams.
  • Audit project-level safety documentation to ensure KE compliance.
  • Conduct job site safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Attend “tailgate” meetings to review hazards, daily risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain safety documentation, including reports and statistics.
  • Maintain awareness of Federal, State, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Must be available to travel to job sites across regions.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or related field.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED and Fall Protection Competent Person certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Pay Range

We believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.

Pay Range: $20 - $25/hour
