D2B Groups is looking for a dedicated Safety Specialist - Electrical & Power to ensure a safe working environment for our client's team that is involved in electrical and power projects. In this role, you will develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures, conduct training sessions, and ensure compliance with safety regulations specific to electrical and power installations. Your expertise will be critical in identifying safety risks and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures related to electrical and power projects.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, electrical safety practices, and emergency procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, compiling reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with project managers to assess safety risks and provide support in developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to electrical and power safety.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivelant combination of experience
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or relevant safety certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in safety management within electrical, power, or generator industries required
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards applicable to electrical systems and power generation.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to conduct safety audits and risk assessments effectively.
  • Ability to travel 25% or more
