Position Overview

The Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the construction environment. This role involves identifying potential hazards and implementing safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for employees
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences
  • Prepare safety reports and documentation for management review
  • Act as a liaison between management and regulatory agencies regarding safety concerns
  • Provide guidance on safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry, heavy civil preferred
  • Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
