Leware Construction Company of Florida, Inc. seeks a Safety Specialist to lead safety efforts on Florida’s major bridge projects. You will help create a culture of safety, perform inspections, and mentor crews to work safely in dynamic environments.

The role involves fieldwork across multiple site locations, coordinating with superintendents and subcontractors, and supporting incident investigations. OSHA training and a safety-first mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and proactive mindset.
• Strong communication with crews and supervisors.
• Interest in heavy civil or bridge construction safety.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors and move throughout active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily safety inspections and jobsite audits
• Travel to different job site locations
• Help ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and project safety standards
• Support crews with hazard recognition and safe work practices
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and new hire orientations
• Monitor PPE use, fall protection, traffic control, excavation safety, and elevated work activities
• Document inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and safety observations
• Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to maintain a safe project environment
• Assist in incident investigations and follow-up actions
• Promote a positive, proactive safety culture throughout the project

We are seeking a motivated and safety-driven Safety Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help create and maintain a strong culture of safety on some of Florida’s major bridge projects.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in protecting people, identifying risks before they become problems, and supporting crews working in dynamic construction environments. ** What You’ll Do**
