Job summary

STRUCTURAL seeks a Safety Specialist to oversee safety protocols on site at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station in Tonopah, AZ. Responsibilities include conducting safety meetings, identifying risks, and implementing measures, with a focus on education and plan development.

Candidates should have 2–3 years in safety management, OSHA knowledge, and strong leadership. Bilingual English/Spanish and CSST are a plus.

Qualifications

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee safety protocols for our projects. Key responsibilities include conducting safety meetings, identifying potential risks, and implementing necessary safety measures. This role entails providing safety education, developing work plans, and scrutinizing safety plans from external partners to ensure project safety. This Safety Specialist will specifically be on site at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station in Tonopah, AZ.

Qualifications

A comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations is essential, ensuring compliance with safety standards and guidelines.

The ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement effective corrective measures.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to convey safety information clearly and facilitate effective collaboration.

Possession of OSHA 30 certification is required, and OSHA 500 is preferred, showcasing a commitment to professional development and expertise in safety protocol.

CSST Certification preferred English/Spanish bilingual is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate and engage with a diverse workforce.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary of $65,000 to $80,000 based on qualifications and experience.
