Our client, a leader in the Automotive industry, is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Safety Specialist, you will be part of the corporate department supporting multiple R&D facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Safety Specialist

Location: Long Beach, CA

Pay Range: $40/hr DOE plus benefits

What's the Job?

• Conducting basic risk assessments and hazard analyses.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Assisting in the development and delivery of safety training programs.
• Documenting and reporting safety incidents and near misses.
• Participating in safety audits and inspections.
  
  

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial operations with involvement in SHE programs.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations, standards, and programs (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
