Job summary

The position requires strong communication, organization, and training skills, plus OSHA knowledge and relevant certifications. Experience in construction safety and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety preferred.
• 2+ years of construction experience and 1+ year in a safety role (3+ years preferred).
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards and construction safety practices.
• OSHA 30, 500, EM385, CHST, or equivalent; CPR/First Aid Trainer; OSHA 510 (within 6 months) - Required.
• OSHA 500, CHST, or other relevant safety certifications - Preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish - Preferred.

A Safety Specialist position is available at Garney. The Safety Specialist supports the implementation and execution of jobsite safety programs to ensure a safe work environment. This role promotes safety culture through training, inspections, hazard identification, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. The position serves as a field safety resource responsible for education, guidance, and proactive incident prevention.

What You Will Be Doing
