Zusammenfassung

Carmeuse, a leading global producer of lime and related materials, seeks an H&S leader to coach site management and employees on safety strategies and loss prevention. You will drive H&S initiatives, oversee the management system, and engage unions and multi-site teams to sustain best practices.

With a background in H&S and at least five years in mining/manufacturing, you will implement training, ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA/MSHA), and foster continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in H&S or related field preferred.
• Certification such as Certified Mine Safety Specialist or Certified Safety Professional is a plus.
• Minimum five years of progressive H&S experience in mining, manufacturing or construction.
• Experience with OSHA, MSHA, or other regulatory agencies is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
• Fluency in spoken and written English; Spanish a plus.
• Experience with unionized labor force.
• Willingness to travel regularly to cover locations.
• Ability to develop and conduct training programs.
• Strong organization, conflict resolution, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive change.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably, (but not required) in H&S related field, or equivalent experience and training, is preferred.
• Professional certification such as Certified Mine Safety Specialist, or Certified Safety Professional, is a plus.
• Minimum five years of progressive H&S experience, preferably in a mining, manufacturing or construction environment.
• Experience with OSHA, MSHA, or other similar regulatory agencies is required.
• Proficient computer skills and working with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a must.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities appropriately.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Experience working with employees who are part of a unionized labor force.
• Must be able to support a continuous improvement environment as well as change management initiatives.
