Hours Per Week: 20 hours per week

Schedule: 24/7 operations - hours may vary

SUMMARY

The role is responsible for assisting in maintaining the safety and security of the Rochester Regional Health facilities, under supervision. The trainee will learn and demonstrate the duties of a full security officer, including performing security patrols, answering security calls, conducting initial investigations, and responding to emergencies. The role emphasizes customer service and teamwork, and the trainee will receive on-the-job training in all essential security functions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Heavy - This category includes physically intensive work such as lifting heavy materials (up to 100 lbs.), climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and working on uneven, slippery, or elevated surfaces. Employees must demonstrate strong motor coordination, balance, and spatial awareness to safely operate tools and equipment. High visual and auditory alertness is required, especially in areas with moving machinery. Emotional demands are moderate, focusing on hazard recognition, task accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Environmental exposures may include extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, loud noise, and mechanical hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and periodic physical examinations are often required. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. PAY RANGE

PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $21.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14621

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
