TITLE: Manager, Safety & Security (Osceola Heritage Park)

DEPARTMENT: Training Facilities

REPORTS TO: Director of Safety & Security

WHAT SETS YOU APART

We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and patient individual to join our security team. You should have top-notch security expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to implementing new solutions. Your responsibilities will include managing security staff and overseeing all aspects of public and venue safety, ensuring proper enforcement of policies for a safe environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement security operating procedures with the Director of Safety & Security to enhance efficiency and value.
• Create and deliver security training materials collaboratively with the Director of Safety & Security.
• Manage relationships with security vendors and act as liaison.
• Coordinate with the conversion crew to maintain and repair security equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and security regulations.
• Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer satisfaction.
• Lead security, law enforcement, and medical staffing plans for all events at Osceola County Stadium.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage hiring, training, and performance appraisals of security personnel in coordination with HR and the Director of Safety & Security.
• Handle employee rewards, discipline, and other supervisory duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Facilities Management, Police Academy, or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of security experience required.
• Experience in law enforcement, entertainment/sports venues, or public assembly environments preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in security required.
• Technical knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems preferred.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and goal-oriented skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Professional demeanor when dealing with the public and challenging situations.
• Strategic thinking, resourcefulness, and innovation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
• Possession or willingness to obtain a Florida Class D Private Security License.
• Physical ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
