Denver Public Library is hiring a Safety & Security Manager to create a safe, secure environment for staff, customers and the library’s assets. This role advances safety, continuity of operations and emergency preparedness in line with the library’s Strategic Roadmap.
You will lead safety and security across 28 locations, ensure resources meet needs, develop best practices, and implement processes to achieve performance standards while advising library leadership on related matters.

The role will lead the functional and operational areas for the security and safety of our 28 and growing number of library locations. Critical success factors will be defined by ensuring there are appropriate resources available to resolve complex business issues; informing, creating and maintaining best practices for safety and security; and creating processes that ensure the accomplishment of performance standards. This role is critical in acting as an advisor and subject matter expert to Denver Public Library leadership on all safety, security and emergency management related matters.
