Job summary

ResponsiveEd in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Safety and Security Coordinator to provide logistical and operational support for the Safety and Security Department across campuses, plan and support drills, conduct threat assessments, and ensure compliance with state mandates.

You will work with campus directors, vendors, and first responders, perform safety audits, maintain campus access controls, and help coordinate communications within ResponsiveEd, traveling as needed to campuses.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in law enforcement, private security or military field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background screening.

Responsibilities

Description

Provide logistical and operational support in the planning, implementation, and support of the Safety and Security Department. Typical responsibilities include: working with campuses to address security issues, provide security audits, threat assessment/analysis, along with providing operational readiness. Implementing required campus security mandates from Texas, Arkansas, Ohio, and other future states, acting as a liaison between our campuses and public safety, assisting campuses with the planning and completion of emergency drills, to include after-action reports. Other responsibilities will include interacting with vendors, and coordinating communications with other ResponsiveEd departments and campuses on matters of safety and security.

Requirements

Education/Certification

• High School diploma or GED required.


• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), or law enforcement, private security or military experience equivalence.


• Valid driver’s license. ? Must pass a background screening.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a law enforcement, private security, or military field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Works with campus directors on all safety and security issues.


• Provides guidance and support in the Behavioral Threat Assessment process.


• Conducts safety audits, identifying deficiencies/ensuring corrective actions.


• Tracks campus intruder audits to ensure compliance/corrective action.


• Provides staff safety and security training. ? Acts as a liaison between campuses and first responders.


• Assists in the management of Campus Access Control Systems.


• Assists in the support and procurement of campus monitoring systems.


• Provides information for the ResponsiveEd Texas Safety and Security Committee


• Ensures all TEA legislative mandates are being met.


• Attends regularly scheduled Brand meetings where safety and security are to be discussed.
