This role oversees the safety, security, and regulatory compliance of the distribution center, focusing on employee safety, food safety, and environmental regulations. Responsibilities include implementing OSHA standards, managing food safety programs in line with FDA and industry guidelines, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The position also involves maintaining building repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment upkeep.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Flexibility needed to accommodate 1st and 2nd shift

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure safety, GMP, and facility inspections are completed and compliant with OSHA, FDA, DOT, and other regulations.
  • Conduct and support audits, including Food Safety and OSHA, across multiple locations.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance records and handle inspections, compliance issues, and employee safety concerns.
  • Oversee food safety, food defense, and pest control programs, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Support new construction, equipment purchases, and projects by providing safety expertise.
  • Implement and manage contractor safety programs and accident prevention initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for audits, inspections, and regulatory agency visits.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and filings accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience: Food Safety, Occupational Safety, DOT knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, FDA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Certifications in Food Safety and OSHA (10 or 30 card) compliance preferred
  • Experience with negotiating, vetting and managing 3rd party service providers.
