Job summary

Shirley Parsons, partnered with a leading construction organization, is seeking Site Safety Representatives to deliver day-to-day safety oversight across multiple U.S. locations.

These field roles collaborate with project leadership, field personnel, trades, subcontractors and clients to uphold safety standards and compliance on site. Responsibilities include end-to-end safety coverage, site inspections and audits, hazard identification, incident investigations, and safety training on PPE,

Qualifications

• Must have OSHA 30; documentation required.
• OSHA 500/510 may be required for some project sites.
• Proven construction safety experience; data center or large-scale projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard ID and risk mitigation.
• Experience leading field safety inspections, training and incident investigations.
• Experience developing AHAs, PTPs and routine safety documentation.
• Certifications such as First Aid/CPR/AED, Fall Protection, MEWP, Forklift, Confined Space, Excavation/Trenching, Rigging & Signaling preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Safety/EHS/Construction Mgmt education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day/end-to-end safety coverage for sites and projects.
• Conduct field inspections and safety audits to identify hazards.
• Monitor compliance with safety requirements for personnel and subcontractors.
• Verify PPE and safe work practices are implemented and maintained.
• Provide safety training on PPE, hazard recognition and mitigation.
• Conduct incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with field personnel, leadership, clients and trades to promote safety.
• Maintain safety documentation (inspections, incidents, training records, AHAs, PTPs, plans).

Job description

Shirley Parsons is partnered with a leading construction organization to identify experienced Site Safety Representatives to support projects across multiple locations. These field-based positions are responsible for providing day-to-day safety oversight and working closely with project leadership, field personnel, trades, subcontractors, and clients to maintain company and project safety standards.

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6+ months
• Per diem available for out of town contractors

Position Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day and end-to-end safety coverage for assigned construction sites and projects.
• Conduct regular field inspections and safety audits to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and potential areas of risk.
• Monitor site personnel and collaborate with project and safety leadership to ensure compliance with company, client, and applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
• Verify that appropriate safety controls, PPE, and safe work practices are implemented and maintained throughout the project.
• Provide safety training on PPE, equipment operation, hazard recognition and mitigation, and other project-specific safety requirements.
• Conduct incident investigations, identify root causes and contributing factors, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Work closely with field personnel, trades, subcontractors, clients, and other project partners to promote a strong safety culture.
• Develop and maintain safety documentation, including inspection reports, incident reports, training records, AHAs, PTPs, safety plans, and other project-specific documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 required; candidates must be able to provide documentation.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 may be required for certain project sites.
• Proven construction safety experience required, with preference given to candidates who have supported large-scale commercial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects.
• Experience supporting data center construction and/or mechanical and plumbing contractors or scopes of work is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification and mitigation, and construction risk management.
• Experience conducting field safety inspections, leading safety training, and performing incident and root-cause investigations.
• Experience developing and maintaining AHAs, PTPs, and other routine construction safety documentation.
• Additional certifications such as First Aid/CPR/AED, Fall Protection, MEWP, Forklift, Confined Space, Excavation/Trenching, and Rigging & Signaling are preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field personnel, project leadership, subcontractors, and clients.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Safety, EHS, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
