Job summary

PureWest Energy, LLC in Pinedale, Wyoming is seeking a Safety Representative to provide health and safety support for the PureWest Resources asset. You will work under the HSE Supervisor to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements across the oil and gas operations.

The role involves assisting in the development and maintenance of basic safety programs, conducting incident investigations, delivering training, and maintaining compliance records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or related field or 5+ years oil and gas safety operations in lieu of a degree.
• Ten years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• 3–5 years exposure to drilling, frac and workover operations.
• Good understanding of production operations in the oil and gas industry.
• Ability to support H&S compliance at multiple facilities/regions within multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
• Ability to develop metrics and monitor performance to improve adverse trends.

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of contact to implement H&S activities for compliance solutions.
• Assist in development, implementation and maintenance of basic H&S programs, systems, and procedures.
• Participate in H&S compliance and management system audits.
• Promote and reinforce safety protocols and regulations in the workplace.
• Coordinate training programs and communicate safety information to employees.

Job description

The Safety Representative provides health and safety supportto the PureWest Resources asset in Pinedale, Wyoming.Responsible for performing tasks in a wide rangeof health or safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the organization’s Health and Safety(H&S) standards and with federal, state, and localregulatory requirements. Works under supervision and direction of the HSE Supervisor to ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, quality management systems requirements, and company- wide policies and procedures. Performs tasks that are usuallyfrom detailed instructions and established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment applied in the Oil and Gas industry. Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of basic programs, systems, and procedures. Assists in monitoring and preventing H&Sincidents and hazards. Works withothers to investigate incidents, accidents, injuries, or complaints. Recommends improvements in processes, design,procedures, and operating equipment to minimize the hazard potential. Assists in the development and conduct of employee training, emergency preparedness and quality assurance programs. Maintains a working knowledge of technical aspectsof regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as single-points-of-contact or coordinates to implement H&S activities that requirebroad knowledge and experience in order to provide compliance solutions to H&Sissues.
• Supports basic work activities in order to comply with H&S laws, regulations and corporate

requirements .

• Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of basic programs, systems, and procedures.
• Participates in H&Scompliance and management system audits.
• Responsible for reiterating safety protocols and regulations in the workplace to prevent potential hazards and operational delays.
• Facilitate training and programs for the employees and inform them of any communications related to their safety and wellbeing.
• Assists in monitoring and preventing H&S incidents and hazards alongwith investigation of incidents, accidents, injuries, or complaints.
• Supports Operations, Completions and Drilling departments including budgeting, special projects andassignments, employee training, emergency preparedness and quality assurance programs.
• Maintain incident tracking database, compliance training records, and contractor management information.
• Hazard identification and mitigation of broad operational job sites.
• Other duties as assigned.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safetyor other related field, or directly related work experience of 5 yearsin oil and gas safetyoperations in lieu of a degree
• Ten years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Three to five years exposure to drilling, frac and work over operations
• Good understanding of production operations in the Oil and gas industry
• Ability to support H&S compliance at multiple facilities/regions within multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
• Ability to develop metrics, monitor performance, makerecommendations to improve adverse performance trends

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGES

• Salary range $92,000 - $98,000 based on level of experience
