Job summary

SRG Stairs of SRG Ventures in Austin, TX, is seeking a full-time Safety Rail Installer. The role involves ensuring job sites are equipped with required safety rail hardware for new home construction and daily installation scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Two years of experience in a same or similar job.
  • One year of experience in the construction industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current and valid TX driver's license with a clear driving record for at least the past five years is required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen following job offer.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a daily route based on the schedule of installations.
  • Ensures all needed materials and tools are on hand and timely loaded into the transport vehicle to complete daily installations.
  • Installs safety rail components for residential new home construction.
  • Removes safety rail components based upon a daily software scheduling system/application.
  • Updates computer applications and systems used internally by the company to maintain the status of each job, and to include photos of completed work.
  • Maintains a clean work area at all times.
  • Reports issues, concerns, and matters in need of attention to the appropriate personnel, and in a timely manner.
  • Interacts regularly with internal personnel within the company, as well as with external personnel to support the overall completion of each project in a quality, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Demonstrates proficient mechanical aptitude in operating a drill, tape measure, and other tools, as needed.
  • Demonstrates proficient ability to safely lift and carry pipes and related equipment up and down stairs.
  • Demonstrates proficient ability to safely load and unload vehicles used in transporting tools and equipment.
  • Operates a motor vehicle in a safe and legal manner at all times.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with safety requirements, policies, practices, and protocols.

DescriptionSRG Stairs of SRG Ventures is a leading provider of custom stairs, blinds, and floors for the residential home builder market. We are currently hiring for a full-time Safety Rail Installer to join our growing and dynamic team in Austin, TX.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all job sites are properly equipped and set up with required safety rail equipment to support a safe working and operating environment at all job sites.Key Position Details:

  • $20-$25/hour!
  • Full benefits to include medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days!

Working Environment & Physical Working Conditions:Frequent physical duties include, but not limited to, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, bending, carrying, lifting of objects up to 75lbs, as well as operating powered industrial equipment and a motor vehicle. Working in a combination of climate-controlled (i.e. indoor) settings, and in non-climate controlled (i.e. outdoor), both settings with frequent, and sometimes extreme, exposure to conditions including, but not limited to, severe and unpredictably changing weather elements and weather conditions, loud audible noises, moving parts and machinery, etc. All required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shall be provided by the Company.
