Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires providing safety training and developing safety programs for city operations.
• Experience in OSHA 1910 & 1926 compliance and risk assessment is preferred.
• Three years of progressively responsible safety program development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and present safety training to employees; create programs for training areas including proper work methods and emergency preparedness.
• Instruct classes to help staff acquire and maintain required certifications.
• Inspect facilities and workstations for safety hazards and ensure compliance; prepare reports and calibrate safety equipment.
• Coordinate safety conferences and seminars and assist with reporting and documentation.
