Moss is seeking a Safety Programs Coordinator in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to drive development, implementation and continuous improvement of safety programs across functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Safety Management or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in safety, project coordination, program administration, operations or related field.
  • Experience coordinating projects, programs or process improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • ASP, CSP, or other recognized safety certification preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Forms).
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety principles is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for meetings, site visits, training and company events.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development, implementation and continuous improvement of assigned safety programs, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Serve as the program owner for assigned safety initiatives, ensuring documentation, communications and supporting resources remain accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in researching, developing and launching new safety programs to support organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate program updates by gathering feedback from field and corporate stakeholders and incorporating best practices into program improvements.
  • Partner with Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Fleet, Risk, and other departments to ensure safety programs are practical, scalable and aligned with business needs.
  • Coordinate meetings, working groups, and committees to gather input, document action items and support program development.
  • Assist with developing implementation plans, rollout schedules, communication strategies and supporting materials for new and updated programs.
  • Support rollout meetings, implementation calls and stakeholder communications by presenting program updates and responding to questions.
  • Collaborate with the Training & Development team to identify training needs and develop program-related training materials and resources.
  • Review safety documents, forms, procedures and communications to ensure consistency, quality and alignment with company standards.
  • Monitor assigned safety programs by tracking milestones, feedback and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Research industry best practices and regulatory changes to recommend enhancements to existing safety programs and processes.
  • Support the collection, tracking and analysis of environmental health and safety (EHS) metrics and KPIs.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating Safety Department initiatives and company events, including Safety Week and other engagement activities.
  • Represent the Safety Programs, Process & Compliance team during meetings and collaborative projects as assigned.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding assigned safety programs and processes.

POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Safety Programs Coordinator is a key member of the Safety Programs, Process & Compliance team and plays an important role in developing, maintaining and improving Moss' safety programs. This position is responsible for coordinating the development of new safety initiatives while serving as the primary owner for assigned existing programs, ensuring they remain current, effective and aligned with operational needs, client expectations and regulatory requirements. Working closely with stakeholders across Safety, Operations, Training & Development, Human Resources, Fleet, Risk and other business functions, this role gathers feedback, coordinates program updates and supports the successful rollout of new processes and standards throughout the organization. The Safety Programs Coordinator will help ensure safety programs are practical, consistent and scalable while supporting continuous improvement across the business. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys managing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and building programs that positively impact employee safety and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience with Power BI, learning management systems (LMS), document management systems or safety management platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety principles is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for meetings, site visits, training and company events.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) preferred.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Safety Management or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in safety, project coordination, program administration, operations or a related field.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating projects, programs or process improvement initiatives preferred.
  • ASP, CSP, or other recognized safety certification preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This is an office-based position with travel as needed (up to 20%).
