Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Safety Professional oversees Construction Project Safety, Health (S&H), and Risk Management. Responsibilities include managing multiple safety programs, developing site-specific safety plans, and collaborating on Operational Risk Management (ORM). The role involves problem-solving with practical and thorough solutions. Travel required: 20%.

• Coordinate with General Contractors and/or site owners regarding site conditions and Non-Compliance Notices (NCNs).
• Participate in meetings with clients, project teams, and contractors to advise on mitigation plans, S&H training, and technical reports.
• Assist in developing and implementing Site-Specific Accident Prevention Programs (APP) and training plans.
• Support site safety budgets, permits, and ensure compliance with contracts, plans, and specifications.
• Lead ORM team in reviewing and developing safety plans based on project and regulatory requirements; assist with incident investigations.
• Maintain knowledge of safety standards, OSHA, DOT, insurance audits, workers' compensation, hazard analysis, emergency plans, and first aid.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint.

Qualifications

Position / Candidate Requirements:

• 0+ years experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience conducting S&H training and expertise in regulatory compliance (1910, 1926, EM-385 1-1).
• Knowledge of Safety Management Systems, ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000.
• Understanding of safety culture and skills to build it.
• Trainer Certification: OSHA 500/502; degree in Occupational Safety from an ABET-accredited program.
• Willingness to pursue certifications like ASP, CSP, CHST.
• Previous experience in electrical, construction, industrial, federal, or commercial S&H roles.
