Job summary

SunSource is seeking a strategic Safety Product Manager for Mining & Industrial Sales. Location: East or Midwest U.S. with national travel. You will lead product strategy, market analysis, supplier alignment, and sales enablement to grow safety offerings across major industrial segments.

The role requires 6+ years in industrial sales/product management for safety products, strong cross-functional leadership, and travel readiness. Bachelor's degree preferred; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 6+ years in industrial sales / product management focused on safety products and solutions.
• Experience selling into the mining industry strongly preferred.
• Ability to integrate product, marketing, and sales strategies to drive growth.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel nationally 50%–75%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive safety product strategy and national growth plan across key industrial segments.
• Build market landscape analyses including customer segmentation and competitive positioning.
• Identify high-value opportunities to drive revenue and margin growth.
• Define and expand a safety product portfolio aligned to customer applications and market demand.
• Partner with suppliers to align roadmaps and strengthen go-to-market execution.
• Lead sales training and enablement to improve product knowledge and selling effectiveness.
• Support field teams in solution-based selling and strategic account development.
