New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks a Manager, Planning Safety to lead a comprehensive safety planning program and act as the subject-matter expert on transportation safety within the agency. The role will coordinate across departments and with external partners to advance regional safety goals.

Responsibilities include directing safety studies, developing policy recommendations, analyzing data, and guiding implementation of safety investments in line with strategic plans and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning, public policy, engineering, or related field.
• Six (6) years of applied experience in transportation safety data analysis, collaboration and coordination.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer background, including familiarity with Geographic Information Systems, database management and analytical tools.

Responsabilités

• Lead comprehensive safety planning initiatives and manage safety planning studies.
• Coordinate safety planning with internal departments and external partners (NJDOT, NJ TRANSIT, FHWA).
• Analyze data and provide policy guidance, supporting implementation of safety investments.
• Represent NJTPA on safety-focused committees and integrate safety into other priority programs.
