Job summary

Amgen seeks a Scientific Associate Director to lead safety pharmacology lab activities within TSRS. You will manage in vitro cardiac safety labs, oversee staff, and coordinate safety studies (in vitro; in vivo) to support candidate selection and regulatory strategy.

You’ll serve as a SME on project teams and drive data integration across modalities. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to advance mechanistic safety understanding and adopt human-relevant NAMs in safety

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of relevant scientific experience OR Master’s degree and 7 years OR Bachelor’s degree and 9 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety pharmacology lab activities and manage staff.
• Coordinate in vitro and in vivo safety studies to support candidate selection and regulatory strategy.
• Serve as Safety Pharmacology SME on project teams with cross‑functional partners.
• Advise on data interpretation, study design, and risk assessment for diverse modalities.
